Niti Ayog Registration

NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) is a policy think tank of the Government of India, established to replace the Planning Commission. It serves as a platform for the central government to engage states and union territories in formulating strategic plans and policies for sustainable development.

1. Establishment: NITI Aayog was established on January 1, 2015, by a resolution of the Union Cabinet, replacing the Planning Commission, which was in existence since India’s independence in 1947.
2. Objectives: The primary objectives of NITI Aayog include:

   • Promoting cooperative federalism by facilitating collaboration between the central government and state governments.
   • Fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancements to drive economic growth and development.
   • Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of government programs and initiatives.

1. Structure: NITI Aayog is headed by the Prime Minister of India, who serves as its Chairperson. It comprises a Governing Council, which includes all Chief Ministers of states and union territories, and a team of full-time members, experts, and staff.
2. Functions: The functions of NITI Aayog include:

1. • Conducting research and analysis on various developmental issues and challenges.
   • Advising the central and state governments on policy matters related to economic growth, social development, and governance.
   • Coordinating with ministries, departments, and stakeholders to implement strategic plans and programs.
   • Facilitating capacity building and knowledge sharing among government agencies and other stakeholders.

1. Registration: NITI Aayog is an autonomous institution established by the government and does not require separate registration. It operates under the administrative control of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and is funded by the central government.
